JALORI PASS

KINNAUR
Kinnaur is a district in the state of Himachal Pradesh in India.
While Himachal in itself is stunningly beautiful, Kinnaur Valley is like a whole other world.
Lush greenery, bountiful apple orchards and smiling faces are synonymous with this region.
The places covered are Kalpa, Sangla, Raksham, Chitkul and Nako.

ChitKul
Last Village of India.
Chitkul is located in the kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh.
Shimala to Chitkul is a distance of roughly 243Kms by road.
One of the best parts about Chitkul is that there’s no network connectivity here whatsoever.
This village is so beautiful that you can spend days here completely disconnected from the outside world.
There are a few hikes that you can do around Chitkul. You can even walk up to the first check-post on the India-Tibet border.
Apart from that, visit Hindustan ka Akhri Dhaba for a hearty Indian meal.
From there, you can find a short-cut to go down to the bridge. Cross that bridge and explore the other side. It’s breathtakingly beautiful.

GRAHAN VILLAGE
It is located to the north of hippie town Kasol in Himachal Pradesh.
It has only 50 houses and around 350 villagers. The village has some beautiful temples with significant architecture.
Hiking is the only option for tourists and locals to reach the village from Kasol.
The trail is pretty much marked with signage’s courtesy youth hostel.

You Do not need to camp at Grahan as there are ample homestays in the village that might cost you about 400 per night per double room.

SACH PASS
Sach Pass (also referred to as Saach pass) is a high altitude pass in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. It’s located at an altitude of 4,420 meters and connects Chamba valley to Pangi valley.
It’s considered to be one of the most difficult passes to cross in the world because of the rough terrain, terrible roads, and extremely unpredictable weather. Thus, it becomes an obvious choice for all those who are looking for some off-road adventure and want to look away from the widely traveled Ladakh & Spiti.
It opens generally around the third week of June and remains open until early October.
Sach Pass is a lot less travelled and offers much more adventure. The road conditions are pretty awful (read thrilling), which works the best for an adventure seeker as you get to off-road to one of the most difficult passes in the world. There are only a handful of people on the road so you actually get a chance to be one with the mountains and riding almost becomes therapeutic.

CHAMBA VALLEY
Spend at least two to three days to explore Chamba, 118km from Pathankot.
Besides its natural beauty, Chamba is a repository of local art and architecture.
The town sprawls along the bank of the Ravi River.
The Lakshmi Narayan temple is the oldest temple of the group of six stone temples depicting the 8th century shikhara style of architecture. The Bajreswari temple is another temple with fine carvings.
The HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) runs regular buses from neighboring states of Delhi, Haryana and Punjab. In the state itself they run to and fro from cities of Pathankot, Shimla, Kangra, Solan and Dharamshala.

THEOG
Theog is charming town located in Himachal Pradesh. It is known as the town of five ‘ghats’ (or ridges): Rahi Ghat, Deori Ghat, Prem Ghat, Janoghat and Bagaghat. These ghats provide a scenic view of the hills. Theog leaves you mesmerized with its beauty.
At Theog, you are far away from the hustle of Shimla. You have an opportunity to soak yourself in the beauty of the mountains completely. Theog also serves as the perfect base to explore other towns in Himachal Pradesh.

HOW TO REACH THEOG :
The journey to reach Theog is easy. Located only 32 km away from Shimla on National Highway 22, there are plenty of ways to reach Theog.
You can either hire a car to drive down to Theog or avail the bus service.
If you want to witness snowfall, the right time to visit Theog is January.
However, heavy snowfall can also mean that your outdoor activities are restricted. So be prepared to spend your vacation cozying up in your room with a book and a mug of hot chocolate.
PARASHAR LAKE
Parashar Lake is situated 50 kilometres from the Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh.
It is encircled by the majestic Dhauladhar ranges in the Kullu valley. It is located at a height of 2,730 meters and as per the legend, true depth of the lake is still unknown.
