Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 : chandigarh to shimla
Arrive at Chandigarh Airport / Railway Station & drive to Shimla, a drive of around 4 hours.
Reach Shimla in evening. Free to explore The Mall Road.
O/N Hotel in Shimla
Day 2 : shimla to sangla
Drive to Sangla through the thick woods of Kufri, Fagu and Narkanda and along side the River Sutlej to arrive in the evening and check in to hotel.
Enjoy the evening in beautiful surroundings in the river valley of Baspa at a height of of 9000ft.
Known for its rich Kinnauri culture and apple orchards, this valley was opened for tourists only in 1993 for its close proximity to the Tibetien border.
O/N Hotel in Sangla.
Day 3 : sangla – CHITKUL – SANGLA
After B/F, explore the vicinity around including an ancient Kamru Fort & Temple dedicated to the Goddess Kamakhya Devi which was brought from Assam & Nages God.
Post Lunch, excursion to Chitkul – a last Village on Old Indo Tibetan Trade Route.
Walk through green orchards & brilliant stream.
Return back to Sangla for Dinner & O/N stay.
Day 4 : sangla – kalpa
After B/F, check-out from the Hotel & drive to Kalpa – District Headquarter of Kinnaur & once a favorite haunt of Lord Dalhousie.
Kinnaur point with its thrilling height and panoramic view, dazzling banks of river Baspa, uncountable freshwater streams drizzling down on roads
Post Lunch rest in Hotel & in evening visit to Buddhist Gompa – Hu Bu Lan Kar.
Don’t miss out on sunset overlooking the heights of the Kinnar Kailash.
O/N stay in Kalpa.
Day 5 : KALPA
Early morning enjoy the Sunrise over Kinnar Kailash Peaks. After break fast Kalpa is famous for its Apples & Chilgoza Plantations [a kind of Dry Fruits], which are found only in Iran & Turkey besides here.
Visit to local School & Narayan Nagini Temple Complex, which has Shrines of Hindu, Buddhist & local Deities.
Post lunch excursion trip to Roghi Village by walk to explore the ‘Pahari’ Life. Interact with the locals. Return back to Kalpa.
Dinner & O/N stay.
Day 6 : KALPA – SARAHAN – SHIMLA
After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Shimla on the way visit Sarahan.
O/N Hotel.
Day 7 : SHIMLA – CHANDIGARH
After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Chandigarh.
Drop at Chandigarh Airport/Railway Station.
