Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 : chandigarh to shimla
Arrive at Chandigarh Airport / Railway Station & drive to Shimla, a drive of around 4 hours.
Reach Shimla in evening. Free to explore The Mall Road.
O/N Hotel in Shimla
Day 2 : shimla to sangla
Drive to Sangla through the thick woods of Kufri, Fagu and Narkanda and along side the River Sutlej to arrive in the evening and check in to hotel.
Enjoy the evening in beautiful surroundings in the river valley of Baspa at a height of of 9000ft.
Known for its rich Kinnauri culture and apple orchards, this valley was opened for tourists only in 1993 for its close proximity to the Tibetien border.
O/N Hotel in Sangla.
Day 3 : sangla – nako – tabo
Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Tabo. On the way visit Nako. Nako has a beautiful lake which freezes in the winter and villagers play ice hockey during this period.
The day has a surprise where a visit to the village of 500 years old mummy makes your journey more exciting.
Later drive to Tabo. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 4 : TABO – DHANKAR MONASTRY – KAZA
After breakfast journey starts to witness the Ajanta of Himalayas the Tabo monastery. Tabo has the oldest caves on barren mountains and Thanka paintings, one of the most precious paintings of Buddhism.
Later visit Dhankar Monastry and drive to Kaza.
O/N Hotel at Kaza.
Day 5 : KAZA LOCAL – Chicham Bridge – KUMZUMLA PASS
After breakfast excursion to Key monastery and Kibber village at an altitude of 4205M.
After that drive upto Chimchim Bridge , Kunzum Pass, Kunzumla Pass which is 4590 M. highest pass on Spiti Lahaul Road.
Later come back to Kaza. O/N camp at kaza.
Day 6 : KAZA – LANGZA – KOMIC – HIKKIM -TABO
After breakfast a drive to the highest motorable road Langza and enroute visiting the Komik and Hikkim village.
O/N Hotel at Kaza.
Day 7 : TABO – KALPA LOCAL
After B/F, check out from the hotel & drive to Kalpa. Arrive to Kalpa & check-in to your hotel.
Post lunch rest in hotel & in evening visit to Buddhist Gompa – Hu Bu Lan Kar. O/N stay.
Day 8 : KALPA – SARAHAN – SHIMLA
After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Shimla on the way visit Sarahan.
O/N Hotel.
Day 9 : SHIMLA – CHANDIGARH
After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Chandigarh.
Drop at Chandigarh Airport/Railway Station.
